Tech Projects
Arcade Cabinet
There is nothing like the sounds and flashing lights of an arcade, playing games, shoulder to shoulder with a buddy. I wanted to re-create this experience at home. This project included many new challenges including engineering, woodworking, and programming. I used a Raspberry Pi 4 running my own custom version of RetroArch.
Smart Mirror
This was a cool idea I saw online and decided to try my hand at. It was my first project with a Raspberry Pi and required some basic woodworking, and programming. I used an old TV display connected to a Raspberry Pi 3 and a custom version of MagicMirror.
Sony PSP Emulation on iOS
Using an open source emulator I was able to port and run an upscaled version of a 10+ year old game on iOS. Since Apple does not allow emulators on the app store, this app cannot be published.
Smart Mirror Version 2
The first version worked great, but it could be better, so I re-iterated on the design, materials, and size. This is an in progresss shot of the back before I cleaned the wires, and covered the electronics.
N64 Emulation on CarPlay
Here is a video of Mario Kart 64 on Carplay through my car’s head unit.
